Regional Activities
ANSI, via its International Policy Committee (IPC), monitors many key regional
activities around the world. In order to improve response time and broaden the
participation of ANSI federation members in the formulation of policy positions
regarding regional standards and conformity assessment activities, the IPC
formed three Regional Standing Committees (RSCs). The IPC serves as their
overall coordinating body to ensure consistency in ANSI policy positions
globally.
The Regional Standing Committees are each chaired by IPC members; membership on
the RSCs is drawn from the overall ANSI membership base. Their activities are
conducted primarily by correspondence and they meet on an as needed basis.
